Learning @ the Source is an opportunity for educators to explore the Library of Congress’ online collection of over 13 million digitized primary sources, including documents, images, maps, audio, and video. This customized program, designed by teachers for teachers, allows participants to:.
Professional Development Option 1 Professional Development Option 2 Both options introduce participants to the Library of Congress website, demonstrating why and how they can use primary sources to engage students and enhance learning. Participants learn how to search the Library’s website to locate what they need; get hands-on practice with cross-curricular, inquiry-based learning strategies; and receive guidance in creating a primary-source learning experience for students.
